Twitter:

Katie Martin - @katie_martin_FX - is possibly the funniest person I follow on Twitter. As a bonus she is also the Currencies & bonds editor at Dow Jones.

Josh Brown - @ReformedBroker - Josh might be the hardest working man in finance. He manages money, tweets (a lot), writes the best finance blog in the world, is a contributor to CNBC and is one of the funniest people on Twitter. A total must follow.

Svend Egil Larsen - @selaco - Svend Egil is one of Norway's foremost and best day traders. He also beat the Norwegian government in the Supreme Court in one of history's first suits regarding algorithmic trading. After this he has become a sought after speaker. Sadly for you English speakers, he mostly tweets in Norwegian. He is also underfollowed. So change that, will you?

Felix Salmon - @felixsalmon - He's kind of the Jon Stewart of Twitter. He's very well-informed, is a vocal critic of modern media ventures such as Business Insider and is also a pretty cool guy. His blog is also excellent (albeit sometimes a little too much of a #longread).

Also sprach Analyst - @theanalyst_hk - "I'm so bearish on China, I'm a panda", he once told me. That really says it all. He is a anon blogger based in Hong Kong. If you want to be informed on China, from a bearish perspective, he is a must read. His blog is read by most big players.

Fabrizio Goria - @FGoria - Our man in Milan. If a story is about Italy, you bet Fabrizio is on it. He works seemingly all the time and is very, very fast on breaking news.

Chris Adams - @chrisadamsmkts - I could have added 15 people from FT here, but if I could only add one, it has to be Chris. He's always tweeting and is always on the ball. Great follow and when he's not tweeting he is the Financial Times Markets Editor.

Paweł Morski - @Pawelmorski - He's a hedge fund manager who's in the know. Good at spotting coming trends in the market. Also a really nice guy.

Richard Stott - @Stotty67 - Richard runs a Norwegian wealth management company and has a really great view of how to manage money. One of the best financial tweeters in Norway. Only tweets in English.

MarketPlunger - @MarketPlunger - A trader. Funny, funny guy. Best pic on twitter. Just follow him, bro.

Lorcan Roche Kelly - @LorcanRK - Lorcan is one of the best economists on Twitter. Irish guy. Funny man. Active user, which is great for us.

Simone Foxman - @SimoneFoxman - Quartz managed to steal Simone from BI, which was great for them. She is a great writer and a great follow on Twitter.

Peter C. Warren - @PeterCWarren - Hedge fund manager. Possibly the most knowledgeable person about finance in Norway. Has the best finance blog in Norway, but sadly only tweets in Norwegian. Great guy and a must follow.

Erica Blomgren - @SEK_bonds - Erica's a Fixed Income Strategist at SEB. She's become a real force on Twitter due to her extensive knowledge and fast analysis on anything Scandinavian and macro.

Mike Bergen - @BergenCapital - Hedge fund manager. Just a allround great follow. Shares a lot of interesting stuff.

DNB Markets - @DNBMarkets - It's great to see how Norway's biggest brokerage tackles Twitter. It's very informative, quick and sometimes downright charming. I advice every company to look at the tone they hit and try to understand why it works so well.

Nordea Markets - A list of 21 of their analysts - Nordea shares a lot of great macro research on their site and it's clear that they are taking Twitter seriously. They tweet mostly via their analysts, so I added the list instead of the corporate account.

Guy Johnson - @GuyJohnsonTV - BloombergTV is a great channel. It's informative and gets in all right (unlike some of the other ones). Guys is one of least followed hosts on Twitter, which is ridiculous, since he is one of the best to follow. So follow him, will you?

John Eggen - @Merimack1 - A great follow and a great guy. John is a Norwegian fund manager, that is a natural on Twitter. Great on macro trends. He tweets in English, luckily.

Howard Lindzon - @howardlindzon - Howard is the CEO and co-founder of Stocktwits and really understands the power of the Twitter platform. He's a great guy and a great follow.

Richard Paulsen - @richardpaulsen - Ex-broker turned writer. He writes (in Norwegian) about all things markets. Very bright guy with some interesting insights. If you understand Norwegian, he's a must-follow.

Heidi N. Moore - @moorehn - Heidi's a great writer, analyst and tweeter. She's an editor at The Guardian, where she writes very impressive editorials.

Kit Juckes - @kitjuckes - Kit might be my favourite FX analyst out there. He works for SocGen, where he writes at a very consistently high level.

Joseph Weisenthal - @TheStalwart - What's a list like this without Joe? Not much, I'll tell you. He's the only one I follow that has tweeted more than 100,000 (!!) times. I have unfollowed him a few times, especially during his coin-crusade, but it's just not the same without him. He is possibly the hardest working man on Wall Street and a surprisingly good analyst.

Oh yeah, and me: @finansakrobat

Blogs:

Pawelmorski - A supreme economics blog by the anonymous fund manager Pawel Morski (@pawelmorski). He made a big name for himself during the Cyprus disaster and before 10am on Saturday morning he had a complete analysis out. The profesonal analysts did have their notes out until Sunday night, or Monday morning.

The Reformed Broker - John Brown (@ReformedBroker) is a blogging superstar and really does not need my recommendation, but I give it regardless. He has one of the best moral compasses I've seen. Also he gives some very good, and funny, investing advice.

Mark Dow - Hedgie Mark Dow (@mark_dow) is not as well known as he should be. His latest post, on why the carry trade is dead, is just excellent. Shares the knowledge.

Abnormal Returns - ue to Tadas Viskanta's (@abnormalreturns) daily links, you don't really need an RSS reader. So high quality. An obvious start to the day. Every day.

Barnejek - blog by the anon analyst Barnejek (@barnejek) that is also excellent. I would hate to be a journalist with guys like this to compete with. He's a great resource for Eastern Europe.

Felix Salmon - The Reuters superstart Felix Salmon (@felixsalmon) creates news whenever he blogs. He loves the long reads, so in the future a TL;DR would be nice at the top.

Joe Weisenthal - No one works harder, writes more and tweets more than Joe Weinsenthal (@TheStalwart). ow that he is an editor at Business Insider, he writes a little less, but it feels like it adds more of a punch to his pieces.

Also Sprach Analyst - This anon analyst (@theanalyst_hk) recides in Hong Kong nd is a China critic. The blog is read by a lot of important people. Well worth a read on a weekly basis to keep tabs on China.

Peter Warren - The hedgie Peter Warren (@PeterCWarren) is fiercely smart and yet both willing to share the knowledge and still very humble. He writes only in Norwegian (despite being a Brit), but I suggest you Google Translate it to get a gist of it, cause it is really good stuff. EVERY time.

Kit Juckes - The FX analyst Kit Juckes (@kitjuckes) logs maybe twice a month. But he has some tremendous insights and is a great writer.

FT Alphaville - he guys over at FT Alphaville (@FTAlphaville) are really smart, blog a lot and has a great liveblog every day. It's a must read, especially in the mornings. Just great stuff all the time.
